Chris Bevan workshop

Chris Bevan is a young film director, who came to visit our class to give us advice and tips to improve our films.

He did a presentation telling us about his career and his current productions which was very informative and allowed us to gain ideas we could use. Watching Chis' work was very inspiring and gave everyone motivation and determination to make their film look professional.

Chris gave the whole class general tips throughout his presentation but he then went round to each group. This gave us all the opportunity to speak to Chris and ask him for his input on ways we could create meaning and explore different ways to capture scenes in our film. We wanted to make it appear as if someone was watching Donna and Mitchell, in the bedroom in our film. Chis suggested we film the shot from a low angle, looking up through the window, to give the effect that someone is looking up and in through the window. We thought this was a really good way to get this effect and enjoyed filming this scene.

We also spoke to Chris about sound and lighting and took his advice on board.
Speaking to Chris Bevan was a great experience and opportunity.  He helped us all develop our ideas further and put them together in our final film.
