Stolen Love

Scene 1

Opening shows a piece of newspaper on a desk with the headline “Donna Adley still not found after a week.”

Scene 2

Mitchell walks into his living room to meet his wife, Loretta. Loretta is reading a newspaper and begins to tell Mitchell that her best friend, Donna has gone missing.

Loretta: Have you seen this? Donna’s gone missing.I can’t believe I didn’t know sooner.

Mitchell: Oh really? 

(pause)

Mitchell: It’s in the paper, is it?

Loretta: Yeah, I thought you would’ve seen. Maybe you could help them search for her.

Scene 3

Mitchell walks into his home office.

Mitchell: I’m a very busy man at the moment, Loretta.

Mitchell searches through his desks/pockets messily.

Mitchell: I think I’ve left my wallet at work, I’m going to have to go back to get it. I won’t be long, darling.

Mitchell grabs his keys.

Loretta: Oh okay, don’t be too long, it’s getting late.

Scene 4

Mitchell gets into his car, wondering in his head. 

Flashback of him and Donna together from when they started having an affair until she goes missing.

Scene 5

Mitchell pulls up to one of his rental home.

He walks in and finds Donna on a sofa in a robe.

Donna stands up and smiles seductively to Mitchell.

Donna grabs Mitchell’s hand and pulls him into a room alongside closing the door behind.

Scene 6

The door opens and Mitchell comes out, fixing his tie and tucking his shirt in.

Donna: When are you coming back?

Mitchell: As soon as I can get away from Loretta without suspecting anything.

Donna: So, how long until we’re able to leave this town together?

(pause)

Mitchell: I need to get my story straight to Loretta… It’s going to be so hard to leave her, she is my wife after all.

(pause)

Mitchell: I better get going, I said I wouldn’t be long.

Scene 7

Mitchell leaves his rental home where Donna is staying and drives somewhere to buy/get flowers for Loretta.

Scene 8

Reaches home and walks in to his bedroom with the flowers only to find Loretta on the bed in a robe.

Mitchell tosses the flowers aside and closes the door behind him.

(Fade to black)
