Makeup in film noir is worn by the femme fatales to elaborate their natural beauty. Dark eyebrows, eyeliner and signature red lips are key features to the makeup look. For the face makeup its kept quite subtle and natural with the main focus on the eyes and lips the important parts. The dark eyebrows help to frame the face and stand out which draws attention to the eyes along with the bold winged eyeliner and dark lashes.

Film noir was filmed in black and white meaning the makeup would not have fully been picked up however you can see the eyeliner and though you could not see the colour red on the lips you can still tell lipstick was worn to make the lips stand out.

I attempted to create some of the key features and thought I created a successful look and was happy with the outcome.
